AIM Trust expanded its outreach and skill-building efforts through several targeted initiatives aimed at enhancing community capabilities, promoting digital literacy, and providing essential documentation support. These programs reflect a strategic approach to addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by marginalized groups in Lucknow’s slum areas.
E-Volunteer Program:
The E-Volunteer Program was designed to empower community members by identifying and training 10 dedicated e-volunteers. These individuals received specialized sessions on filling critical forms related to police recruitment, scholarships, and school admissions. By equipping e-volunteers with these skills, AIM Trust ensured that more families could access vital opportunities, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and fostering self-reliance within the community.
Free Online Coding Classes:
In collaboration with the NIIT Foundation, free online coding classes were introduced, focusing on Python programming. This initiative aimed to bridge the digital divide and open pathways to tech careers for underserved youth. A total of 68 beneficiaries, including 22 boys and 46 girls, gained foundational coding skills, empowering them with knowledge applicable in today’s digital economy.
Internet Security & Safety Sessions:
Recognizing the growing need for digital awareness, AIM Trust organized sessions addressing critical topics such as online fraud, email and password protection, and social media safety. The session was attended by 23 participants, including 8 boys and 15 girls, who now possess essential tools to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
Aadhar Card Enrollment Camp:
To support identity verification and access to government schemes, an Aadhar Card Camp was held, benefitting over 600 participants. New enrollments included 220 boys and 325 girls, while data corrections were facilitated for 46 women and 78 men. This effort reduced administrative barriers for community members, enabling them to access welfare programs and services more efficiently.
