Hello Bitiya Manch: A Platform for Adolescent Empowerment

Hello Bitiya Manch is a vibrant collective of adolescent girls established in Lakhimpur District as part of the Adolescent Girls Program led by AIM Trust. This collective serves as a safe and empowering space where girls come together to learn, share, and build their capacities to challenge societal barriers and take charge of their futures.

The Manch enables adolescent girls to explore their potential, strengthen their voices, and make informed decisions about their lives. It fosters solidarity and mutual support among its members, creating a nurturing environment for growth and empowerment. Through interactive sessions, life skills training, and peer group activities, the girls are not only gaining knowledge but also actively learning to exercise their agency and assert their rights.

The initiative is grounded in AIM Trust’s broader efforts to address the challenges faced by adolescent girls. The program focuses on four primary objectives:

1. Empowerment: Providing girls with vital information, skills, and services to navigate their lives confidently and independently.

2. Access to Education: Ensuring that girls have access to quality education in safe and inclusive environments.

3. Community Mobilization: Engaging families and communities to challenge and change harmful norms that perpetuate gender inequality and discrimination.

4. Policy Advocacy: Strengthening the implementation of legal frameworks to protect girls’ rights and holding duty bearers accountable for their education and well-being.

Hello Bitiya Manch stands as a testament to the resilience and potential of adolescent girls, transforming them into active participants in their communities and advocates for a more equitable society. Through this initiative, AIM Trust continues to pave the way for a brighter and more inclusive future for adolescent girls.
